CES highlights groundbreaking new AV technologies

As you're reading this, attendees at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada are jumping from one booth to the next, from presentation to presentation, to see what the world's leading tech companies have in store for us in the near future.

In recent months, much of the buzz has centered on Samsung and the unveiling of its new TV technology. And, on Tuesday, they gave the world a peak at a curved OLED display.

OLED stands for organic light-emitting diode. But, people might be a bit more confused by the "curved" part rather than what OLED stands for. Officials from the South Korean company told the crowds at CES 2013 that the curved nature of the screen, which isn't even immediately noticeable, allows for vastly improved viewing angles. This means that individuals can see perfectly clear pictures from odd angles, as if they were directly in front of the TV.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a Samsung spokesperson said the curved television offers a viewing experience in line with what one would experience in an IMAX movie theater.

While no pricing, detailed specs or official release date have been announced, such innovative audiovisual technologies should excite both consumers and business professionals looking to augment their marketing and customer engagement initiatives.

As these and other cutting-edge displays hit the market, they can be combined with state-of-the-art video processors that support multiple inputs and can even send four video streams to one TV, splitting the screen into quadrants. The result is a captivating and immersive viewing experience that is sure to make it impossible for anyone to forget your brand name or what you have to offer them.

Be sure to check back as we will continue to highlight standouts from CES 2013 and how they can be partnered with video processors, matrix switchers and other AV peripherals that are guaranteed to make an impact.
